Welcome to Tiverton School and thank you for visiting our website to find out more information about our school. I hope you will find the information you require and that you will find it useful in helping to prepare your child for the beginning of a very important journey in starting school.
We are very proud of Tiverton School and what we offer to our pupils and their families, always aiming to put children at the heart of what we do. We value very highly the partnerships we develop with parents and others, and know that we can maximize the effectiveness of learning, enjoyment and achievement for all pupils by working together. With your support, we are confident that we can achieve this.
We are committed to providing a caring environment which ensures that a range of opportunities will be provided for the academic and personal development of every child and one which stimulates them to learn and achieve with enjoyment, confidence and success.
Whilst I hope you will find the information in our website useful, I strongly recommend that all prospective parents visit Tiverton and to see at first hand what we offer our pupils and their families.
I look forward to meeting you

There is currently one vacancy for the role of parent governor at Tiverton.
Priority for this role will be given to nominated parents of a registered pupil at Tiverton; however parents of former pupils, grandparents of current pupils or any parent of a child with special needs can also be considered.
Tiverton governors work closely with the school to help make our school the very best it can be.
Governors make key decisions which really make a difference to the education and wellbeing of children and all stakeholders.
Governors work together to constantly improve and develop our school and to shape the future.
Governors spend time in school to see its work first hand.
To be a governor you need to:
- Care about improving opportunities for children
- Be willing to work as part of a team and ask questions
- Be open to ideas and willing to learn
- Be willing to attend meetings during the school day
Governors do not need an educational background.
If you want to know more about this role and the process for nomination and election to be a parent governor, please contact me.

- £88.75 to be donated to Birmingham Children's hospital in lieu of staff sending Christmas cards to each other
Thank you to all for your support with our fundraising efforts. |

Tiverton School Art Gallery |
|
Our recent art gallery was the "key event" following the whole school theme based upon the inspiration of various artists. We felt very proud of the high quality of work produced by all classes, and the fantastic learning and enjoyment that had taken place. In addition to many familiar friends of the school, we had pupils from 4 schools visiting and also raised £100 for school funds by selling the works of art.

Visitors left a lasting impression with their colourful handprints on our clonker board which will be enjoyed by the whole school.
Some visitors from a local school sent a Thank You card stating "It was wonderful; the amount of work, care and commitment that went into making the event such a success was evident from the warm welcome we received from all members of your school community to the moment we left". |

Warwick University Surf Club Volunteers |
|
On Saturday 24th November 2012, eighteen students from Warwick University Surf Club volunteered their time to paint the sensory room and staff room and to design and paint our new clonker boards. They spent many hours doing some fantastic work for us, and we are very grateful for their time, effort and skill.

The newly painted rooms look great and the clonker boards have been extremely well received by pupils and staff. Thanks also to Ellena who prepared the clonker boards and to Wickes, Coventry who supported this project by providing the paint at a discounted rate. |
